雖然凱西的解讀認可許多通用的符號，特別是靈性方面的，但解讀堅持認為自己是最好的解夢人，人和人之間使用符號含義的差異可以是南轅北轍。
解夢詞典從不同角度來啟發夢者認識自己的符號，從而得到潛意識想給予的信息的幫助。
從這個角度來看，任何解夢詞典都不會提供符號的確切答案。
